Community Guidelines

Genga Anime List is a place for anime fans to track what they watch, write reviews, build lists, and connect with others. These Community Guidelines keep it welcoming and safe. They are part of our Terms of Service, and our moderators and administrators enforce them.

Be respectful

• No harassment, bullying, threats, or targeted abuse.
• No hate speech or attacks based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar characteristics.
• Disagree about a show all you want — attack the take, not the person.

Keep content lawful and appropriate

• No content that is illegal, or that sexualizes minors in any form. This results in an immediate ban and may be reported to authorities.
• No graphic, gratuitous, or shock content in profiles, reviews, comments, or uploaded images.
• Respect content warnings and tag spoilers where reasonable.

Respect intellectual property

• Don't post content you don't have the rights to. Report infringement through our DMCA / Copyright Policy.
• Anime metadata and artwork come from AniList and belong to their rights holders.

Keep it authentic

• Don't impersonate other people, creators, or Genga staff.
• No spam, scams, mass-posting, vote manipulation, or fake reviews.
• Don't use bots or automated scraping except where we expressly allow it.

Protect the platform

• Don't attempt to break security, abuse rate limits, or disrupt the Service for others.
• Don't share other people's private information without consent.

Reporting and enforcement

If you see content that breaks these guidelines, report it or contact support@[your-domain]. Depending on severity and history, we may remove content, issue warnings, or suspend or terminate accounts. We aim to be fair and consistent, and serious violations may result in immediate removal.

Changes

We may update these guidelines as the community grows. Material changes will be noted with an updated date above.
