[Legal Entity Name] ("Genga") respects the intellectual-property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. This policy describes how to report copyright infringement on the Genga Anime List service (the "Service") under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
Anime metadata and cover images shown in the Service are provided by AniList and belong to AniList and the respective rights holders. User-generated content (reviews, comments, lists, profile images) is created by our users.
Reporting alleged infringement (takedown notice)
If you believe content on the Service infringes a copyright you own or control, send a written notice to our Designated Copyright Agent that includes all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to let us locate it (e.g., the URL).
- Your contact information (name, address, telephone number, and email).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on its behalf.
Designated Copyright Agent:
- Name/Title: [DMCA Agent Name]
- Email:
dmca@[your-domain] - Mailing address: [Business Address]
Please note that under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), you may be liable for damages if you knowingly misrepresent that material is infringing.
Counter-notification
If your content was removed and you believe it was removed in error or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to our Designated Agent that includes:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, if outside the U.S., the district where Genga may be found) and that you will accept service of process from the complaining party.
If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the content in 10–14 business days unless the original complainant files a court action seeking to restrain the activity.
Repeat infringers
We will, in appropriate circumstances, disable or terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.
